This evening, we have witnessed a celebration of performance.

First and foremost, I would like to express my deepest gratitude to our talented students. Your commitment to the arts and your unwavering determination to excel have shone brightly on this stage tonight. Your talent and enthusiasm have not only entertained us, but they have also inspired us all.

I would also like to extend my heartfelt appreciation to our dedicated teachers and staff members who have worked tirelessly to nurture and guide our performers. Your expertise, guidance, and encouragement have played an invaluable role in helping our students reach their full potential. Thank you for your unwavering support and for creating an environment where creativity and artistic expression thrive.  Thank you to our team of peripatetic staff, our Music teacher, Sophia Liu, our Drama teacher, Jules Freeman and to Marie Ball, our Singing teacher and accompanist this evening.  Thank you also to parents for your support of the artistic explorations with which your children are engaging – and for your tireless ferrying to events, lessons and concerts. Your unwavering support, encouragement, and applause have undoubtedly played a significant role in the success we celebrate tonight.

Thank you Archie – for leading us through the concert so professionally.  You are an excellent host!

Tonight’s concert showcased the power of the performing arts in fostering creativity, self-expression, and teamwork. It is through these performances that our students learn to overcome challenges, build confidence, and develop skills that will serve them throughout their lives. The dedication and discipline required to master an instrument or perfect a theatrical performance are skills that transcend the stage and have a lasting impact on their personal and academic journeys.

In a world that is constantly evolving, the arts remain a vital part of our society. They provide us with a means to connect, to communicate, and to express our deepest emotions. The performances we witnessed tonight have reminded us of the transformative power of the arts and the importance of cultivating creativity and imagination in our students.

Once again, congratulations to all our performers for an extraordinary evening filled with incredible talent. May the memories created tonight serve as a reminder of the incredible potential that lies within each and every one of us. I am immensely proud of each one of you this evening

Parents, Thank you for your remarkable children who bring such joy and delight to us all every day.

Music and the arts have energised aand inspired me throughout my life.  For me, it is the spirit at work within those expressions that brings the light and energy to us all.  There is a lot of light and energy here.  My life is ever so blessed in knowing that,  and in experiencing that every day here at Sion.

These young people are extraordinary lights and my goodness, the world needs them – perhaps more than ever.

May what has been brought to us this evening – that beautiful light and energy – the art, music, drama…those words and those melodies – continue to bless your evening and your days to come.
