Making Outstanding Education More Accessible: Sion School Announces Significant Reduction in School Fees

sion reduces school fees

We’re delighted to announce a substantial reduction in our fees, marking an exciting milestone in the school’s ongoing commitment to accessibility and educational excellence.

Following the successful purchase of our buildings, Sion School is no longer subject to the annual rental costs that previously contributed to operating expenses. This strategic move allows the school to pass meaningful savings directly to families, at a time when many are navigating increased financial pressures, including the recent introduction of VAT on school fees and broader cost-of-living challenges.

Sion School believes that exceptional independent education should be within reach for more families.

By lowering fees while maintaining high standards, the school is broadening access, ensuring more children can benefit from its rich, values-driven educational experience.

We recently celebrated outstanding 2025 GCSE results, where 94% of students secured grades 9–4, with 48.6% achieving top 9–7 grades, and the school ranked in the top 2% nationally for Value Added, with students averaging one full GCSE grade higher than predicted.

Students at Sion thrive in a supportive, family-like community where curiosity, ambition, and collaboration are at the heart of daily life. As part of a global network of Sion Schools, pupils benefit from a strong sense of belonging and shared values that extend beyond Worthing, fostering a truly international perspective.

While our name reflects our heritage, Sion is fully inclusive and welcomes students of all faiths as well as those with no religious affiliation, creating a diverse and open-minded learning environment.
Sion students are eager to learn, achieve success, and support the growth of their peers, cultivating a positive culture where teamwork and mutual encouragement flourish.

Teachers form genuine, inspiring relationships with their students, guiding them to reach their full potential academically and personally, and the school celebrates not just results, but effort, original thinking, and innovative classroom responses, encouraging students to engage with challenges creatively.
Through the “Challenge Plus” mindset, young people are motivated to explore subjects deeper and wider, developing critical thinking, resilience, and a lifelong love of learning.

This approach has contributed to Sion’s impressive value-added academic outcomes, with students consistently performing above expectations and reaching new heights of achievement. Prospective families are warmly encouraged to contact the school for the new fee structure and to discover more about why Sion School remains a leading choice for quality education in Worthing and beyond.
