Our Fees

At Our Lady of Sion School, we are committed to making an outstanding independent education accessible to as many families as possible in Worthing and West Sussex, while maintaining the high academic standards, care and values that define our community.

A more accessible fee structure

Following the successful purchase of our school buildings in November 2025, Sion School is no longer subject to annual rental costs that previously formed part of our operating expenses. As a result, we are delighted to be able to pass meaningful savings directly on to families through a reduction in school fees.

This change comes at a time when many families are facing increased financial pressures, including wider cost-of-living challenges and the VAT changes affecting independent school fees. Our updated fee structure reflects our belief that exceptional education should remain within reach.

Sion offers a rich, values-led education in a supportive and personal learning environment, combined with exceptional academic outcomes.

In 2025:

  • 94% of GCSE entries achieved grades 9–4
  • 48.6% achieved top grades 9–7
  • Students performed, on average, one full GCSE grade higher than predicted
  • The school ranked in the top 2% nationally for Value Added

These outcomes reflect not only strong teaching, but a culture where students are known, challenged and supported to achieve their very best.

You can read more on our exam results here.

What our fees include

Our fees are inclusive and transparent, covering:

  • High-quality teaching and small class sizes
  • A broad and engaging curriculum
  • Pastoral care within a close, family-like community

Access to enrichment, co-curricular opportunities and the school’s “Challenge Plus” approach to learning.

As part of the global Sion network, students also benefit from a strong sense of belonging and shared values, as well as a broader international outlook.

Notes

Termly Instalment Scheme

Fees are due no later than the first day of term. We reserve the right to refuse to allow any child to attend school until the fees are paid in full. At Our Lady of Sion’s discretion, a particular term’s fees may be paid in four instalments during that term by Direct Debit. This scheme is known as the Termly Instalment Scheme.

Under the Termly Instalment Scheme the dates and amounts of each instalment for that particular term’s fees will be set out in a separate agreement for that term. No administration charges, interest or other charges are included in the Termly Instalment Scheme. Our Lady of Sion reserves the right to withdraw or amend the terms of the Termly Instalment Scheme at any time by giving you notice in writing before the beginning of the new school term.

No agreement to accept payment on deferred terms will be valid unless
it provides for no more than 12 payments within a 12 month period. For more information on the Termly Instalment Scheme please contact the Bursar.

Early Years Free Entitlement

Our Lady of Sion School also participates in the West Sussex
County Council’s Early Years 30 Hours Free Entitlement (EYFE) scheme.

Notice of Withdrawal

A minimum of one whole term’s notice of withdrawal of a pupil is to be given in writing no later than the first day of the pupil’s last term. This notice will be acknowledged by the Bursar within three working days of receipt. One term’s fees will be payable if the required notice is not received.
