Young creators in years 5 – 8 across West Sussex are invited to step inside the mind of a music maker this February, as Sion School hosts its first Original Minds’ Circle (OMC) workshop of the year.
In this session
- The session will be led by Ian Lovatt of Ghost Copy Music, a Brighton‑based music producer, songwriter and artist developer whose career includes work with Jess Glynne, Calum Scott, and Sam Tompkins.
- Ian will guide participants through hands‑on creative tasks and real industry processes, helping them understand how music is built from the ground up.
- Create and experiment with sounds using professional‑grade music production tools.
- Learn how beats, melodies and harmonies are built from scratch.
- Work in small groups to write, produce or perform parts of an original piece.
- See how a producer shapes a track, from first idea to finished piece.
