As a small independent school, we are working diligently to maintain fiscal resilience in the face of recent political and economic pressures, including rising costs of living. We are seeking a forward-thinking financial expert who can quickly identify and implement cost-saving efficiencies across the school, while also developing strategies to increase revenue and ensure a sustainable balance between expenditure and income.

With the recent purchase of our school lease, we have gained new operational freedom regarding our buildings, presenting opportunities to develop innovative business enterprises. The ideal candidate will have the strategic vision to explore new markets within the locality and contribute to the school’s long-term financial growth.

We are therefore looking for someone with:

  • A professional accounting qualification (ACA, ACCA, CIMA, CIPFA)
  • Proven experience in financial management, budgeting, accounting, and commercial operations
  • Strong strategic financial and business development expertise
  • Where possible, knowledge of relevant legislation affecting schools, health and safety, and data protection/GDPR
  • The ability to combine rigorous financial analysis with creative, entrepreneurial thinking to support sustainable growth
