A non-refundable fee of £50 is payable when you register your child for admission to Our Lady of Sion School.
Nursery: A fee of £50.00 is payable on registration, as stipulated above.
Deposit: A deposit of £250 is payable when an offer is accepted for a full time place in the School. The deposit will be refunded after the final term fee invoice, usually in August and less any outstanding extras. However, in the event of a child not starting at Our Lady of Sion, deposits are not refundable. No interest is payable on deposits. Pupils entering Year 12 will be required to pay an additional refundable deposit of £250, as part of the Sixth Form admission process.
Sibling Discount: A 20% sibling reduction on the net fee is applicable to families who have three or more children in fee paying year groups. The sibling discount will be given to the third and subsequent children within a family.
Years 12 and 13 (the Sixth Form): At present, a Sixth Form Scholarship is offered for students who have completed the first five years of the Senior School, whose fees have been paid in full and who satisfy the School’s requirements for A level study and therefore no charge is made for tuition in Years 12 and 13 (the Sixth Form). Pro rata Sixth Form fees (based on the Year 11 fee), are payable for students who join Our Lady of Sion after Year 7 and who do not gain the required number of GCSE points for a scholarship but satisfy individual subject requirements for the A Level choices.
The Sixth Form is not, therefore, deemed a fee paying year group. Those Sixth Form pupils who are not eligible for a fee charge will be subject to an administration fee. External candidates who wish to join Our Lady of Sion Sixth Form from other schools may apply for a Sixth Form Scholarship. These may be awarded to students who gain excellent GCSE results. External students must obtain the required number of GCSE points and fulfil the School’s criteria for entry. A £250 deposit is required. More information is available from the Admissions Registrar. Please note that the provision of the Sixth Form Scholarship is reviewed annually in the Autumn Term of the students’ Year 11. The school reserves the right to change the qualification requirements for the award of a Sixth Form Scholarship and the value of the scholarship at this time.
Bursaries and Scholarships: Bursaries and Scholarships are available. Please apply to the Bursar for information.
Fees are due on, or before, the first day of term to which they relate. We reserve the right to refuse to allow any child to attend school until the fees are paid in full. At Our Lady of Sion’s discretion, a particular term’s fees may be paid in four instalments during that term by Direct Debit. This scheme is known as the Termly Instalment Scheme. Under the Termly Instalment Scheme the dates and amounts of each instalment for that particular term’s fees will be set out in a separate agreement for that term. No administration charges, interest or other charges are included in the Termly Instalment Scheme. Our Lady of Sion reserves the right to withdraw or amend the terms of the Termly Instalment Scheme at any time by giving you notice in writing before the beginning of the new school term. No agreement to accept payment on deferred terms will be valid unless it provides for no more than 12 payments within a 12 month period. For more information on the Termly Instalment Scheme please contact the Bursar. Our Lady of Sion School also participates in the West Sussex County Council’s Early Years 30 hours Free Entitlement (EYFE) scheme.
NOTICE OF WITHDRAWAL:
A minimum of one whole term’s notice of withdrawal of a pupil is to be given in writing no later than the first day of the pupil’s last term. This notice will be acknowledged by the Bursar within three working days of receipt. One term’s fees will be payable if the required notice is not received.
