We’re proud to announce applications are now open for our comprehensive scholarship programme. Designed to recognise exceptional ability and dedication, these scholarships offer students the opportunity to thrive in a supportive, inspiring environment.
Sion scholarships are awarded to students who demonstrate outstanding aptitude, creativity, and a passion for learning. While most scholarships are honorary, three prestigious awards include a financial benefit of up to 10% of annual school fees:
- Ratisbonne Scholarship – For children entering the Junior School (Reception–Year 6) who already demonstrate a love of learning and discovery, the Ratisbonne Scholarship is designed to attract pupils showing high aptitude from an early age. The scholarship ensures that these children are placed in an environment that recognises their abilities and works in close partnership with both the child and their parents to nurture and encourage outstanding academic progress. It is never too early to begin the scholastic journey.
- Lumen Scholarship – For Year 7 students with a passion for learning, creative thinking, and intellectual curiosity. Lumen Scholars thrive in a supportive, aspirational environment that encourages critical thinking, independence, and discovery, laying the foundation for outstanding academic progress.
- Louise Humann Scholarship – For highly motivated students entering Sion Senior School in Year 9 or Year 10 who are seeking a focused and nurturing environment for GCSE success. Scholars demonstrate a strong love of learning, think critically, and are driven to achieve the highest academic outcomes in line with their abilities, supported by a high-achieving culture where learning and success are celebrated.
These scholarships are non-means-tested and reviewed annually to ensure recipients uphold the school’s ethos and scholarly standards.
Holding the title of “Scholar” at Sion is a mark of distinction. Scholars are expected to lead by example, contribute to school life, and inspire peers through academic and creative pursuits. Successful candidates will also join the Original Minds’ Circle and benefit from the Sion Scholar Pathway to Discovery; a bespoke programme designed to develop talent and encourage original thinking.
