Our Lady of Sion Year 11 students are celebrating yet another year of excellent GCSE results, with almost 25% of grades awarded at 9 or 8. Sciences attained outstanding results, with 35% of Chemistry grades at 9. The Arts, including Dance and Art, gained 25% of grades at 9 and French excelled with 30% Grade 9/8.

Emily Keogh obtained Grade 9s in all of her 11 GCSEs and will be staying at the school to study A levels in Maths, Biology, Chemistry and Further Maths. Abigail Hughes achieved 7 Grade 9s and 3 Grade 8s with Oliver Manners attaining four Grade 9s and five Grade 8s, both will also be continuing their A level studies here at Sion. Eleven-year-old Thomas Valantin, the son of one of Sion’s teachers, took his French GCSE early at Sion and achieved a grade 9.
