What a busy and varied week the Junior School have had!  Whilst so much goes on in the classroom, there are many other ways to enhance the curriculum and make learning fun. Here are just a few of the highlights!

Nursery have been on various trips which have included visits to the park, a story in the Headmaster’s office and a sensory adventure around Worthing.


Reception have been busy creating films about Dinosaurs (which you can see on an earlier post).

Year 1 had a beautiful sunny day for their trip to the Wildfowl & Wetlands Trust at Arundel.

Year 2 have loved practicing their number bonds on the beach.

Year 3 have been making Stonehenge models and using them as sundials to learn to tell the time.

Year 4 are visiting the Roman Palace at Fishbourne, near Chichester today. They are busy exploring the various roman artefacts and looking at the beautiful mosaics which they intend to replicate next term.

Year 5 have made clay pots as they learn about Ancient Greece and are off to South Downs Planetarium today.

Year 6 have used their Beach School sessions to inspire their creative writing and have also done some fabulous baking in their creative prep sessions.

And to top it off, the Junior School has achieved Eco-Schools Bronze status!
