Our Lady of Sion School is an independent day school located in the heart of Worthing.. The School is part of a worldwide network of schools and colleges founded by the Sisters of Sion. The School was founded in 1862 and, whilst proud of our heritage, we are a very forward – looking, vibrant and dynamic institution.
I just want to say how utterly overjoyed we are with how our girls are settling in to Sion school life. It’s has exceeded all of our expectations. I can honestly say our daughters are so very happy. Thank you for all you and your team do. It is clear that the school is a very special place.
We would like to thank you all so much for a wonderful Autumn term. The hard work and huge effort from a fabulous team were appreciated every day, and we are so blessed to know that our daughter is part of this inspiring and nurturing school community.
I wanted to say how much we appreciate the care and effort that the Sion staff have put into home learning. I obviously know what an undertaking this has been and we have really seen our daughter flourish under this style of learning.
Our daughter has flourished since starting at Our Lady of Sion. Not only in academic areas but also in sport, music and art. The pastoral care is also excellent.

I am writing to say thank you for all the hard work you and the other teachers have done over lockdown. You have been very patient and fun. You are always there for me and the other pupils to rely on and help with what we don’t know.
“Good Friday is here. Christians will be mindful of the light and the darkness today. There is pain and there is healing. There is death and there is hope. It is a day of great contrasts. For me, there is a moment from the Gospel accounts that whirls around my own mind every Good Friday. It is the tearing of the temple curtain. This moment both startles and delights me.
Jesus cried out. And “the curtain of the temple was torn in two, from top to bottom” (Matt. 27:51; Mark 15:38; Luke 23:45).
I find this deeply moving. It is a Good Friday moment which symbolises so much. Each year, it speaks afresh to me. I shall be pondering the significance of this once again today.
Wishing you a blessed holy weekend.
There is great hope.
Even in the darkness of our own Good Friday experiences, we can still find light and hope in that torn curtain, whilst also holding onto the promise of new life.”
