Years 1 and 2 - Key Stage 1

Our Lady of Sion school Years 1 and 2Years 1 and 2 for children aged 5 to 7 years, form part of our Junior School. This is to be found in Westbrooke Hall and is just a short walk from the excellent facilities of the Senior School in Gratwicke Road. Our school building was originally a large house. Although much extended and adapted to meet modern educational needs, it still retains a welcoming feel, which contributes to the secure, family atmosphere, which is central to the character of the school.

Maximum class size is set at 20 pupils, and the well-qualified and experienced class teachers deliver the majority of lessons. French, Music and PE are taught by specialist teachers. Year 2 pupils take advantage of swimming lessons at the local pool. A Tennis Club (from Year 2) and Spanish Club (from Year 1) are available after school for a nominal extra charge. As well as formal lessons, trips and visitors are an important part of our balanced and extensive curriculum.

School uniform must be worn. Hot lunches are available, charged on a termly basis. After school supervision is available at no extra charge.
