OUR LADY OF SION SCHOOL  SCHOOL TRIPS POLICY

At Our Lady of Sion School we aim to ensure that all school trips are:

• Focused
• Have a clear structure
• All staff and students have a common understanding of the trip’s objective

All School trips undertaken will enable pupils to gain some or all of the following objectives;

• Knowledge and understanding
• Wider perceptions
• Cultural exchange
• Confidence
• Group interaction/team-building
• Deal with risk in life/coping with challenges
• Develop physical or sporting skills
• Develop leadership skills
• Develop social skills
• Develop relationships with “safe” adults
• Increasing motivation/self-esteem
• Provide memorable experiences
