A non-returnable fee of £50 is payable when you register your child for admission to Our Lady of Sion School.
Nursery: A non-returnable fee of £50.00 is payable on registration, as stipulated above.
Junior School: A deposit of £350 is payable when an offer is accepted for a full time place in the Junior School and this will be offset against the first term's fees.
Senior School: A deposit of £350.00 is payable when an offer of a place in the Senior School is accepted. £100 of this deposit will be offset against the first term's fees. The remaining £250 will be refunded in the last fee invoice, less any outstanding extras. However, in the event of a child not starting at Our Lady of Sion, deposits are not refundable.
Children who already attend Our Lady of Sion Junior School and who wish to move on to the Senior School will also need to pay further deposits of £100 and £250 as detailed above, and these are not refundable in the event of a child not moving up. No interest is payable on deposits.
Sibling Discount: A 10% sibling reduction on the discounted tuition fee is applicable to families who have three or more children in fee paying year groups. The sibling discount will be given to the third and subsequent children within a family.
Years 12 and 13 (the 6th Form): At present, no charge is made for tuition in Years 12 and 13 (the 6th Form) for students who have completed the first five years of the Senior School, whose fees have been paid in full and who satisfy the School's requirements for A level study. Pro rata 6th Form fees (based on the Year 11 fee), are payable for students who join Our Lady of Sion after Year 7 and who do not gain the required number of GCSE points for a scholarship.
The 6th Form is not, therefore, deemed a fee paying year group. Those 6th form pupils who are not eligible for a fee charge will be subject to an administration, insurance and photocopying charge. Scholarships are given at entry to Year 12 (6th Form) to external candidates who gain the required number of GCSE points and who fulfil the School's criteria for entry. More information is available from the Headmaster's PA.
Fees are due on, or before, the first day of term. We reserve the right to refuse to allow any child to attend school until the fees are paid in full. With the exception of Nursery, fees may be paid on a monthly basis through Holmwoods Termtime Credit without the loss of the Prompt Payment Discount. Leaflets for this scheme are available from the Bursar's Office. Our Lady of Sion School also participates in the West Sussex Early Years' Partnership Nursery Education Grant scheme.
Notice Of Withdrawal:
A minimum of one whole term's notice of withdrawal of a pupil is to be given in writing no later than the first day of the pupil's last term. This notice will be acknowledged by the Bursar within three working days of receipt. It is your responsibility to contact the Bursar if an acknowledgement has not been received within this time, in order to confirm the notice of withdrawal. One term's fees will be payable if the required notice is not received.
