The Junior School Sports day was held on Tuesday 28th June on the Senior School playing field. All pupils from Reception to Year 6 pupils took part in a range of different events, which made use of skills learned in their PE lessons. The pupils competed in their four houses; Red, Yellow, Blue and Green.
KS1 pupils (Reception, Year 1 and Year 2) had a 'potted sports' in which they took part in 8 different activities, ranging from target throw and mini hurdles to (soft foam) javelin and penalty shoot. All of them enjoyed showing their skills to the parents who had come to support them. The results were as follows; 1st Red; 2nd Green; 3rd Blue and 4th Yellow. The children were all presented with ribbons at the end of their sports by Mr Summers, Deputy Head of the Junior School.

KS2 (years 3 - 6) had 10 activities to undertake, utilising all their PE skills.Their activities were; 1. Hit the Wicket, 2. Netball Shoot, 3,Hockey Dribble. 4. Basketabll Bounce 5. Bean Bag Throw 6. Tennis Relay 7. Netball Pass. 8. Shuttle Run 9. Soccer Dribble 10. Rugby Skills. Both boys and girls took part in all of these activities, which stretched the skills of some pupils in some activities! The results of KS2 sports were:1st: Blue, 2nd: Yellow, 3rd: Red, 4th: Green. Pupils were presented with medals by Mr Scullion, Mr. Summers, the Headmaster, Mr Morgan and Mrs Phillips.

Sadly, it will be the last sports day for both Mrs Phillips and Mr Morgan, who have both worked hard to encourage pupils to participate and enjoy the PE curriculum. Mrs Philips was reluctant to admit how many Junior School Sports Days she has organised, but we will all miss her input!
