This year saw another excellent pass rate for the school! Well done to Year 11! Once again, we were delighted with the achievements of our students. Exactly half of our total results were graded A*-A.

In fact, a total of 14 students each amassed at least 10 passes at grades A*-A. 12 pupils received A and A* grades in all their subjects, with 1 student receiving all 11 A*s which was an excellent achievement. All 63 students gained at least 5 GCSE passes in the A*-C range.

We were very pleased to see that the hard work and determination of so many students was well rewarded, providing a solid foundation for the next stage in their education.

 A-Level Results 2012

Once again, we have enjoyed very good results.

The A* grade accounted for 19 % of all results, whilst A* and A grades combined amounted to exactly 50%. The A*-B pass rate was 80%.

This indicates that so many individuals performed at the highest level and special mention should be made to 11 of our students, each of whom gained at least three A*-A grades. They amount to exactly one third of the year group!

A further six students each gained at least two A*- A grades.

Of the 33 students in Year 13, 25 made UCAS applications. This resulted in confirmation of 19 first choice places, three insurance places confirmed and two obtained through Clearing. One student is still awaiting decisions.

Very well done to all concerned! We wish all our Upper Sixth students every success as they prepare for the next phase of their lives, with the majority looking forward to taking up their first choice university places.
