Although many of our pupils progress through the school from Nursery to Sixth Form, there are places for children who wish to attend the Nursery only. We welcome the Early Years Education Grant. We work in close partnership with parents to ensure that all our children feel secure in a comfortable and stimulating environment.

From 2½ years, children attend on Tuesday and Thursday afternoons when there is a staff/pupil ratio of 1:4. They transfer to morning sessions (with a staff/pupil ratio of 1:6) when they are 3 years old and gradually increase their hours in readiness for entry to the Reception class. Parents are fully involved in all decisions relating to Nursery attendance, but we recommend that children attend for at least three full days every week before they join the Reception class in the September following their fourth birthday.

If you have any questions, or if you would like to make an appointment to meet Mr. James Summers, Head of the Junior School, or Miss. Suzanne Dawson, Head of the Nursery, please contact the school. We would be delighted to show you around, so that you can see the school during a typical working day. Alternatively, you are welcome to attend one of our open days, details of which can be obtained from our website (www.sionschool.org.uk), or by phoning the school secretary, Mrs. Jo Auger, on 01903 204062.

A non-returnable fee of £50 is payable when you register your child for admission to Our Lady of Sion School.

The school reserves the right to amend this policy.
